Partner meeting in Trnava: Multi-IN results continue to be applied in practice

On 14 May 2024, an informal working meeting took place in Trnava, Slovakia, between Terézia Drdulová from the Centre for Early Intervention Trnava (CVI) and Slaveya Kostadinova from Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Bulgaria (SBHB). The meeting focused on the implementation of the Multi-IN project results after the project’s official completion.

During the discussion, both partners shared experiences from their ongoing work with target groups – parents, teachers, support professionals and school teams – who use the guidelines and training materials developed within the project. In both Bulgaria and Slovakia, the Multi-IN outputs continue to be actively used as practical tools to support the inclusion of pupils with spina bifida and hydrocephalus.

Terézia Drdulová highlighted that professionals working with the CVI Trnava team particularly appreciate the clear structure of the materials and the practical, real-life examples, which help them feel more confident when working with children with complex needs. Slaveya Kostadinova added that in Bulgaria the Multi-IN resources are often used as a basis for dialogue between families and school teams.

For us, the greatest proof of Multi-IN’s success is that the materials did not remain just project outputs, but are actively used – in schools, in consultations with parents and in the everyday work of professionals. The project helped create a common language among all stakeholders involved in inclusive education,” said Slaveya Kostadinova.

The meeting in Trnava reaffirmed the partners’ shared view that Multi-IN has a long-term impact and continues to contribute to better inclusion of children with spina bifida and hydrocephalus, even after the formal end of the project.
